New year New works
Blue vase

As neptune changed signs into aries I started working on some really colorful drawings! I have never done this type of work before, but since the end of January I have not been able to stop drawing. They are spilling out of me, its like the work is arriving faster than I can question it.

I am creating in the most satisfying flow. Sometimes the flow of my work follow the seasons, so I cross my fingers that SPRING is springing soon

Green vase

In these pieces, I keep coming back to the vessel and the fruit as bodies — basically very polite containers pretending they’re not absolutely full of feelings. I love the drama of it all: the inside versus the outside, the composed exterior versus whatever is sloshing around internally. What are they holding? What’s about to spill? What’s quietly sprouting in there? And… is something watching us back?

The vessels feel tidal and cosmic at the same time— like they’ve quietly realized they are both a kitchen object and a galaxy. Their interiors swell with droplets and planetary shapes, tiny private universes tucked inside very domestic silhouettes.

A pear

The drawings feel less engineered and more released — like they’ve decided it’s their season. Something is blooming, and it may or may not be keeping an eye on us.

Taken together, these pieces are essentially meditations on being a container — which, when you think about it, is a lot of pressure: to hold emotion, memory, desire, and perception, and still look relatively composed. The vessels and fruit become thresholds where feelings gather and swirl. In these realms, leaves sprout with the confidence of houseplants that have been treasured and cared for, allowing themselves to show all they are — overflowing unapologetically.

An I hope you will too <3
